WalMart announced today July 20, 2010 that the chicken nuggets sold as "Great Value label" has been recalled today by USDA for 90,000+ lbs of frozen chicken nuggets.
This is due to some type of foreign material (Blue Plastic pieces). CLICK HERE to read the Press Release
This product is actually manufactured by Perdue Farms, but like many store brands is sold as a WalMart store brand "Great Value".
It comes in 1 lb. 13 oz. bags and each bag will have the establishment number P-33944 and a case code of 89008 A0160 on the back of the package. They will also have a Best if used by date of June 9, 2011.
Purdue states the Blue plastic rings somehow got into the chicken before they were formed.
