Strep Throat Yuck!!

Well we are finally home after taking 2 kids (yes 2 now) to the Pediatrician today for Strep. 1 hour of waiting at the pharmacy and picking older kids up and we are finally home. (Got a $10 gift card to Target with my prescription)
Ughh Daycare says it is going thru my sons room. So, after finding that out I had to fight with Insurance and Home Health (literally 10 phone calls at least today) to get thru issues with them, to get my daughters medicine shipped today.

For those of you who do not know, My daughter has Primary Immune Deficiency disease. It is similar to the boy in the bubble syndrome. All it really means is she is missing a vital part of her immune system and it doesn't work with out it. Many are worse off and we are so very thankful to of found a doctor here in Florida since there are only 5 doctors in the entire U.S. So, when she gets sick we need to infuse her early. (she gets a weekly IV of medicine to give her a medically induce immune system) when she is sick, we do it early to jump start her body. LOL
Of course it is January and Out of pocket has not been met yet ($3000.00) They called and said you will need to pay $2800.00 today.....I about fell on the floor, I think I laughed out loud I can't remember no,w. LOL Many, many phone calls later, it is all worked out and my daughters other disability insurance is taking care of it.

More than you ever wanted to know about insurance right? Fight the fight is all I want to say. Stay on top of them. It is a daunting and emotionally draining task, but if we do not fight, who will? Thank you Lord for the insurance as so many are with out. We too, were in that position last year. My husband was laid off and with it our insurance ended that day.

If you are fighting a battle, remember, God is with us and will stand by you thru any battle, even insurance. LOL
